Eastern Avenue Allotment Society has been running for over 50 years and has experienced many changes within this period. Supermarket chains are purchasing a variety of fruit and vegetables from around the world, many of which have been genetically modified and sprayed with a number of pesticides and growth treatments. This has raised a number of issues and has seen an increase in the requirements for organically grown produce.

We can offer the opportunity for you to grow what you eat with a number of plots on offer to suit your requirements. You could use your plot of land to grow fresh vegetables, fruits, flowers or a mixture of all three the choice is yours. Pottering around an allotment is an enjoyable and relaxing experience that not only brings you back in touch with nature but provides you with rewards at the end. With the increasing popularity of 'Green Gyms' you can experience a full body work out without being confined to a conventional gym and improve overall fitness.

A gardener's shop on site is also available selling everything you will need for your allotment or garden at competitive prices. You could also enjoy the oppotunity to use our local gardeners shop without the need of using the allotments by becoming a 'Garden member'.
